No Man's Sky teases new elaboration, Frontiers, in 5-year day of remembrance video

How time flies! It's demanding to believe it's been half a tenner since No Man's Sky launched, but Hi Games discharged its space exploration sandbox on Grand 9, 2016.

That's five eld ago to the day, and to celebrate the milestone Hello Games has free an anniversary video you can watch to a higher place.

Those v years have been important. They began with the rocky Nobelium Military man's Sky launch which included some prima functioning issues on PC and missing multiplayer features, plus a general feeling that the game didn't live up to the pre-release hype—which would deliver been impossible, since that plug was natural philosophy.

Just How-do-you-do Games didn't sit idle. The small studio has added a startling amount of new features since the game's original set in motion. The anniversary video takes us done the organic evolution of No Humanity's Sky at a breakneck rate—the addition of base-building, primer coat vehicles, an expanded story, the long-awaited multiplayer features, VR compatibility, living ships, mechs, rideable creatures, a actor hub, expeditions, plus built visuals and procedural generation. No Human race's Sky really has get a long way.

And despite all that's been added over the past five days, Hello Games ISN't through yet. The video ends with a tease of what's to issue forth: Yet another free update for Nary Humans's Sky called Frontiers is on the way.

And... that's about all we know about it at the moment, just the name. The logotype is revealed in Alien opening credits fashion, with the letters tardily appearing on screen as unpropitious music plays, but I don't know if that's a hint that the expansion will be estrange-related OR if it's just a spot of sci-fi flair. According to Hello Games, we'll learn more about Frontiers soon.

Christopher Livingston

Chris started acting PC games in the 1980s, started writing near them in the early 2000s, and (finally) started acquiring paid to write about them in the late 2000s. Following a few eld as a regular freelancer, PC Gamer hired him in 2014, probably so he'd full stop emailing them asking for more work. Chris has a make out-hate relationship with survival games and an unhealthy enchantment with the inner lives of NPCs. He's besides a fan of offbeat simulation games, mods, and ignoring storylines in RPGs so He can even out his own.
